Seventeen Once more is an American fantasy–comedy motion picture. Information technology kickoff aired on Showtime on Nov 12, 2000, and was released on DVD on April ix, 2002. The film was also included as a bonus feature on the Sister, Sister Consummate Collection box prepare released in March 2016. Directed by Jeffrey W. Byrd, information technology stars Tia Mowry & Tamera Mowry, and their younger brother Tahj Mowry.[1]
Plot [edit]
When the Donovan family moves from California to Connecticut, 17-year-one-time Sydney (Tia Mowry) finds information technology is not piece of cake being in a new boondocks away from her old friends and adjusting to her father's remarriage later on her female parent passed away some time ago. However, while working at her new task, she encounters Todd (Merwin Mondesir), a boy in her course, whom she has a beat out on. However, Ashley (Maia Campbell), his older sister, dislikes her and criticizes her anyway she tin can. Her 12-year-old genius brother Willie (Tahj Mowry) is happy equally long as he can tinker in his lab with his increasingly complex experiments. When another experiment goes wrong, their begetter, Barry (Phillip Jarrett), forbids him from making more experiments in his lab until he learns responsibleness. Willie is convinced he can defeat the crumbling process, and while devising an experimental anti-aging formula, he accidentally spills some on a bar of lather.
When their grandmother Cat (Hope Clarke) unknowingly uses the tainted lather, she is transformed into a 17-year-old (Tamera Mowry). Her ex-married man Gene (Robert Hooks) follows suit, and is besides returned to his teenaged self (Marker Taylor).
Cat and Cistron are having a fine fourth dimension reliving their youth and enjoying the thrill of teenage romance, just there'southward an error in the ointment. Willie learns his formula could have mortiferous side effects, and now he must discover an antidote to return his grandparents to their older only healthy bodies. Through their experience as teenagers over again Cistron and Cat realize they are all the same in love with each other only True cat is reluctant to believe Gene'southward feelings are genuine as she is still heartbroken that he chose to exit her for a task in Commonwealth of australia twenty years agone, hence the reason for their divorce.
In Sydney's room, she and Cat finally accept a long and heartfelt talk. Sydney admits she's homesick for California and her old friends. She hates Connecticut and the bullying she is subjected to by Ashley and her friends because Todd is interested in her. During that time, Cat admits her before experience with Ashley. Nonetheless unlike Sydney, she was able to stand up to Ashley and earn her begrudging respect. Meanwhile, Gene who has had time to reflect on his life choices, realizes his mistake of leaving his family unit, and bids good day to his life as a teenager and the friends he has fabricated, and goes to the trip the light fantastic with Ashley in hopes of reconciling with True cat.
Meanwhile, at the trip the light fantastic toe, Sydney and Cat get in and notice Cistron with Ashley. Gene and True cat share a dance where they reconcile, before Cat passes out due to the side effects of the transformation. Willie arrives with the antidote every bit Gene carries Cat to the school'southward pool. Ashley, furious that Gene ditched her for Cat, cuts them off earlier they can save her. Sydney, having had enough of Ashley and her bullying, punches her in the confront. As she and Willie leave to salvage their grandparents, everyone applauds Sydney for giving Ashley what she deserved. Willie tosses the antidote in the puddle and Cistron and Cat jump in. Factor asks Cat to ally him again after their crazy experience. Cat says yes, but and then the happiness is interrupted past Sydney and Willie'south parents, Barry and Monique (Tonya Lee Williams), coming home from a trip. The parents are surprised to come across Cat and Cistron reconciled and Monique tells him that they should let them babysit next time. Sydney asks Monique if she could aid with the wedding ceremony plans and she agrees. A telephone call comes in and Willie calls for Barry, who tells him that he'southward in the shower with the soap, which they forgot to go rid of. Of class, Sydney and Willie now have to finish their begetter from using the soap.
